DREAMS  of Wilmington is a nonprofit organization providing culture and access to the arts for underprivileged children.  Ashley has served on the Board of Directors for DREAMS since 2016.

The annual meeting of the NCBA Real Property Section was held in Asheville, NC on May 18th and 19th.  Topics covered included North Carolina law on short-term rentals, legal opinions for transfers of real property, and an update on pending legislation affecting North Carolina real property law. 

Ms. Fox, Ms. Roden and Ms. Michael had the opportunity to network with other women attorneys from our area while learning about the Cape Fear River.

The Leadership Wilmington Class of 2017 graduation ceremony was held at Watermark Marina and featured a keynote presentation by Susi Hamilton, North Carolina Secretary of Natural and Cultural Resources.  Harrison valued his time in Leadership Wilmington and enjoyed getting to know many of the future leaders of Wilmington, and looks forward to utilizing the skills he developed through the program for the betterment of his community.

This annual event funds technology for CFCI’s one-to-one initiative for K-8 students.  The mission of CFCI, a public charter school, is to promote students’ abilities to think and create in personally meaningful ways through an inquiry-based, integrated curriculum in a nurturing and empowering environment.

This annual event provided the Chamber of Commerce and its members the opportunity to talk with elected officials in an informal setting. Representatives from New Hanover County, the City of Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach as well as US and State Senators and Representatives attended the BBQ.

Noel is the Town Attorney for Carolina Beach.

This CLE sponsored by the Bar Association brings together family law attorneys from across the state to share work product and stay proficient on ever changing domestic case law.

This event benefits Preservation North Carolina and the Bellamy Mansion Museum.  Oakland Plantation was built around 1780 by General Thomas Brown, and this event offers a rare opportunity to tour this historic Cape Fear River house and its beautiful grounds. The Neisler family purchased the property in 1941, restoring and modernizing the house to host deer hunters.
